Festival of the Arts 2009
The weekend of October 3rd-4th, 2009 was the Santa Clarita Festival of the Arts. This annual event showcases various art. In previous years the event was called the Street Art Festival. This event takes place ever year in Old Town Newhall located in Santa Clarita, CA. Last year I was lucky enough to capture this photo which has won two awards so far:
This year the event was well attended and I think the weather had a lot to do with it. Also the new streetscaping in Old Town Newhall definitely added to the look of the event. This event is always fun as it is amazing to watch the street artists reproduce a piece of art on using chalk on the street. I also shot a time lapse of this event. Eventually I will be able to edit my own time lapse version but in the mean time here is one that Suma created:
